The Words

Yesterday morning, I was so happy and excited to receive the news, that my husband was coming home! It felt like a burden that had lied so heavily on my chest, for some time now, was about to fade away.

And I was happy! And towards our precious evening, the happiness grew stronger, and our familiar ways, with each other, began to feel more and more familiar, thou the time had passed.

Our life was still here, and it was warm and gentle, and I fell in love with him all over, like I always do. I have never figured out, how he does that exactly, but than he reminds me, by saying The Words.

I am here now and I will always take care of you. Always. And for a single moment, those words are my entire being. They are in my every breath and I can taste them, feel them, and touch them with my fingertips, word by word as I hear them echo trough my very soul.

For a single moment, I can also hear, The Shepherd, whispering in him, 'I will always take care of you'.
And somehow that touches my inner being so much, that it makes me want to cry. Always take care of you. Always.

And I told him how happy I was of having him home again, and that now he may never ever leave again.
Then he looked at me so sadly and said,:

'I have to tell you something.
My boss wants me to go again, for 5 weeks.
I did not want to tell you over the phone,
but here in safety, were I can lovingly comfort you...'

The Gift Of Love

Many Christmases ago, while I was still I child
I remeber a very special Christmas,
which became -
The Christmas I would never forget.

It was during the war, my mother, my sister and I were living alone, in a small humble place, which was temporary ours.

We did not have much.
We did not have anything at all.
Allt that we had was borrowed and all that we once owned, now became just a memory, a glimpse and a shadow of a life that was once ours.

I remember a little Christmas tree, with decorations made of paper in green and red, by gentle, loving hands, of a mother, that loved her little daughters. That made a sincere and loving effort, to comfort her small children, during great poverty and war.

I remember a love so bright and a beautiful smile,
that filled every corner of that dark room.
And I remember thinking -

....love must be the light of the world....

I remember a song, that did not cease,
through the many days of darkness and war.
I cannot tell you what song it was,
beacuse it has now faded away,
with the rest of my long gone childhood memories.

But I remember it was a song of hope and it had my mother's gentle voice.
And it sang in my heart that night.
I did not understand it but I chose to believe it.

And the gift of love saved me that Christmas, long time ago,
in a time, which is now faded, loving memories.
But the gift of love and hope it still remains,
in my childlike heart....

With Humble Love,
 Jasmina & Jimmy

Wishing You A Beautiful Christmas.

And a small piece of beautiful opera.
It always comforts me.

Visit to Kroatia

Dear Friends,

Today I wish to share with you some of the photos that we took,
during our visit to Kroatia. I was born and raised in the border between Kroatia and Bosnia,
in a small town called Derventa. But I have also lived in Kroatia, Pag, for some time during the war,
with my dear mom and my little sister.

So I always love returning back to my 'first' home Kroatia/Bosnia, I love returning to the Sea.
I think I am still in love with it and the little boats, by the coast of that beautiful, calming, blue sea....
It comforts my heart....

Sending you all my love....
And some hugs....

 A Hearty Surpise

I must admit and by now you as well my readers *smiles, know that I am not too spontaneous of me, but I do love a hearty surprise! I really do!

I just love when my beloved comes running, yes running *smiles through the door all energetic and just says, 'just put on something, we are going out...!'

My first reaction is always the same, 'Oh oh, okey, but... '

But he already knows what's troubling me. 'Don't mind the cleaning, we will fix it later, just come with me!'

And yesterday was such a lovely and warm day, for a Sunday walk, in high heels, of course. You ladies know what I mean ;) So I let him take my hand, and lead me wherever he wanted to go, because I love being surprised, from time to time and just hold, his comforting hand in mine....

Family Gathering

Last Sunday I hade the privilege of baking with my dear mother and my sister, at our gathering.
It has somehow become an important part of our time together, baking something.
This time I brought with me the ingredients for my absolutely favourit cake, a tiramisu, of course *smiles.
As long as it is Italian, I just love it, because that reminds me, of home.
I found a good recipe for You, if you would also like to give it a try!
And I think you should :))
Here is also a picture from our gathering, (my sister is the one taking the picture)
but we had to take many pictures, because mom couldn't stop
watching her favourit tv program, :))

I wish you good luck, with your baking, and if you want to, leave me a comment,
from your latest baking. Did it turn out as you hoped? And the most important question-
Did You Bake It With Love ?:)

 Asia

At the young age of 8, my sweet parents, my sister and I arrived to the coast of south of Sweden.
It was a lovely day of August. I still remember the green open meadows and the beautiful flowers
that were adorning them, - in yellow, white and red, my favourit colour. The beauty of the meadows captured my heart that day, and I was absolutely dazzled by its beauty. At last we had arrived after our long journey and we had found a new place to call our home....

20 years later the meadows, the forest and the flowers are still the most breathtaking, but the atmosphere, the culture and the way of thinking here, have never felt and never became my home....

But I assume that somewhere far across the seas, under the peaceful blue sky of Thailand, I have found a place and a people, that seem almost, almost, a place to call home.
I have found them to be most kind hearted, sharing, joyful people, who not live for themselves, but for each other and carrying each other's burdens and hearts......

On our journey, they seem to have stolen, a piece of my heart and I miss them....
I feel blessed by this journey and of spending peaceful time, with my husband. Here are some photos that we  like to share with You....

These photos were taken during a visit that we made, to the islands around Koh Chang, by a boat trip. It was so peaceful and still there.....

These beautiful photos were taken during a discovery visit that we made to new and exciting places on Koh Chang, how I loved it.....

For My Beloved Sister

'Sister, please hold my hand
As we journey through this land

Together we stand, together we will fall
No matter what, God will keep us together
That will be the best of all

Sister, please hold my hand
Because without you I can't stand

For we were put on this earth for a reason
To go through every good and bad season'

With So Much Love
From Koh Chang

Visiting Asia

Last Sunday, (2/12) we finally once again visited my precious sister! How I love to see her and embrace her in my arms. She has this tiny little face, with adorable brown eyes and the cutest little chin. I feel as a bit of a grandma every time we meet, because I can not stop pinching her cheeks and hugging her, smiles*.

She is always so kind, warmhearted and patient, especially with my easily tangled hair, smiles*,
which she also this time made pretty once again.

                           *    *   *

As of tomorrow, my husband and I are leaving Sweden untill the 21 of December, to visit Asia
in the purpose of a very special celebration,
between us.

I really feel all cheerful and love spending time with him, no matter where, and even in the most humble of places. This means that for some time, there will be no updates, until we come back home.
But now I must continue the packing and the carrying of our home, because ( I love cleaning :) ) and we are having some friends over during the time we are away, to take care of our kitty, smiles* So here is a picture as well on the kitty, aka Bamse ;) (which means in swedish, a big one, and he is a big cat indeed)

Blessings & Love

A Visit To My Precious Sister

This Friday my beloved and I had the wonderful occasion of visiting my dear sister, who I so dearly love. My baby sister, now grown as well, to a beautiful, strong, capable and respectful young lady.
I am so proud over her, not only over what she has accomplished, but over the deep meditation of her heart.

The beauty, simplicity, and kindness that keeps it and tells something to the world, of the riches and beauties God has instored in her, as a daughter, a sister and a fiancé. I am most delighted and thankful  to have her as my sister and to share her journey of life.

Some months ago she opened her own hair salon, in a lovely town by the seacoast, and I was most happy for the opportunity, to at last make my first visit! The smile on her face when we came was priceless. I love seeing her so happy, and she made us very happy as well. The lovely black bag with the pink bow (see above) from Keune was a giftbag for us, and guess if I was happy to receive it!  After our visit there the three of us, made a short visit to the beach and enjoyed some lovely time together...
